There is an event taking place in your local library sure to put a smile on your face and get you in the most festive of spirits. I challenge even the most Scrooge-like among you not to be touched by the wonderful caroling, in Te Reo, taking place in Christchurch City Libraries and the Civic Building on Hereford Street on Wednesday 18 December.
Ngā Manu Tioriori is the Christchurch City Council waiata group. We practice throughout the year and perform at various times for events such as openings, farewells, May Music Month and Maori Language Week.
Christmas gives us a chance to spread some joy and sing a selection of classic carols and Christmas songs, from Mary’s Boy Child – in Te Reo and Spanish, to Santa Claus is Coming to Town and Silent Night.
So do come along to one of the following venues, we’ll have words if you would like to join in, which we hope you will.
