Can someone teach me to fish?

When it comes to fishing, I’m in a league of my own –  I just can’t do it!

This Saturday is I’m going to have a go at the children’s fishing day at the New Brighton Pier. Experts will be on hand to help.  Come along – and bring a rod or drop line.

I’ve got a book on fishing from the library to find out what I’m doing wrong – if that doesn’t work, I’ll stop off at the fish and chip shop on my way home.

Apart from zinc-cream and a sun hat, what else do I need to catch a fish?

Make friends with a fisherman – which you will easily be able to do if you wear your tartan gum boots!

Very important to close the book and put a line with a hook and bait in the water, somewhere that fish are…and hold on to the other end of the line.

So that means you are all going to the Children’s fishing day at the Pier on Saturday?
