Help for lost pets

The Christchurch earthquake has just made us all aware of how important it is to be prepared for a disaster. While an earthquake is terrifying for us, it is equally so for our pets. They get scared too.

Hundreds of terrified animals have been affected by the earthquake. If your pet has gone missing, visit www.spcacanterbury.org.nz to find what you can do.

    My kitty was terrified for the Saturday morning big earthquake, but has been sticking by me and purring in my ear for pretty much all the night-time aftershocks. The dog didn’t seem to perturbed by any of it.

    One of our dogs had a panic attack, but is okay now. Both the dogs have superglued themselves to our legs.
