Howard Schatz is an internationally acclaimed photographer whose striking imagery has been used in print advertising for prestige brands such as Ralph Lauren, Escada and Mercedes-Benz. His latest book of photography focuses on the drama and grace of the human form in and around water, hence the title, H2O.
H2O is a big, lush glossy book – maybe not that easy to carry but definitely worth the effort as the images within are stunning. For a sneaky peek at what the book has to offer have a look at Schatz’s website. Schatz has an eye for movement and colour, and though many of the shots are serene and “artistic” there are also playful homages to synchronised swimming spectaculars of the Esther Williams persuasion. H2O is definitely my favourite coffee table book so far this year.
