JordanHave you read Jordan’s series of autobiographies? You know her – wears a lot of pink, married to Peter Andre, on the busty side – the U.K.’s version of Nicky Watson.  Her memoirs are frank, funny (often unintentionally) and a fun read. Watch out for her romance with Formula One driver Ralf Schumacher.

  1. In 2004 we had Being Jordan

If you like a bit of glamour and cheese, you might like the girl group Girls Aloud. Their new cd Tangled up is on it way to the library. Like its predecessor Chemistry, it’s fizzing with catchy tunes and genius pop.

Nana MouskouriOn a different tangent (more spectacles and less hair dye) , we also have the memoirs of 70s icon Greek songstress Nana Mouskouri. She is a UNICEF Goodwill ambassador and they cite her as the best-selling female artist of all time “having had more than 300 gold and platinum records”. Her music is also held in the library – famous tunes like The White Rose of Athens and cover versions of tracks like “Nights in white satin”.

Cover versions are also the focus of a new album by Shelby Lynne.  Just a little lovin’ features covers of tracks by the legendary Dusty Springfield.
